The resources & community to self study AI at a graduate level
pardon our dust, we are still building
OUR VISION
We see a world where a graduate level education in artificial intelligence is available to adult students who want to self study.
WHAT WE DO
We are a learning co-op. choose projects and together, with advising from grad students and professors, challenge our thinking to accelerate and deepen our understanding of ai.
HOW WE DO IT
We connect tools and experts with self-studiers to increase the rigor of their learning. Details below…
-
Our advisors are university professors and grad students working in areas critical to AI. Their goal is to review our work and push our thinking.
-
When we need more guided, real-time learning experience, our TA’s can act as tutors.
-
Like our network of advisors, our community challenges each other and pushes our thinking.
-
Reviewing the current literature is critical for us to develop a foundational understanding. Unfortunately, we may have questions that we can’t answer. Private Events give our TA’s and Advisors the opportunity to guide our thinking and make sure we don’t get stuck.
-
By bringing in world class speakers to present their research to our group and giving us priority access to ask questions, we further accelerate our learning.
-
Our projects are the ground truth of our learning. They give our advisors something tangible to critique and an opportunity for us to test our ideas.
-
Our wiki contains notes, questions, and deep discussions on the topics our members are studying and details and updates about their projects.
HOW WE WORK
You will choose a project (feel free to change at any time).
You will post that project on the community wiki and our github. Think of the wiki as the community’s shared notebook.
With our advisor and community’s help, you will highlight the topics you need to complete that project.
At your own speed, you will research those topics and work on your project.
You can create and contribute to ongoing discussions on the wiki and our community.
You will document your notes on the community wiki and your progress on github.
You keep going until you want to leave the community
We will also be reaching out to professors in varying fields that impact artificial intelligence: comp sci, electrical engineering, neuroscience, physics, math, etc.
Additionally, as a community member, you guide our progress. Submit ideas for improvement and discuss the ideas of others.
WHO WE ARE
We are a community of people, coming together to learn AI together. We will push each other's thinking, support each others’ projects, and continue to seek a more and more fundamental understanding.
WHO WE ARE NOT
We are not an online education program or certificate farm. We are not a physical school, college, or university - in fact, we don’t have much formal organization at all.
We are a team of people connected by our unique intent to go learn more deeply, to use our knowledge to impact the world, and our desire to self-study.
PRICING
Free
If you just want to contribute to projects, add to our wiki, or join our public speaker series - by all means please do.
Paid
If you want to attend office hours, have your projects critiqued, get tutored, and join paper reviews that’s $50 a month (this may increase or decrease depending on membership).
Why?
We pay the professors and ta’s. Additionally, we pay our admin, some hosting fees, and for some basic marketing to recruit members.
Note
Pricing & features are subject to change based on demand, costs, availability, etc.
However, our co-op model means our focus isn’t on high profit, but on providing the best possible learning experience for all of us.
